CAYUCOS GARDEN CLUB PROJECTS 2016- 2018
BEAUTIFICATION - Old Creek Road Triangle and Vet's Hall
Members weed, clean-up, and water the county owned medium at Old Creek Road and Highway 1. Also maintain "Little Triangle" across from the Vet's Hall.
Members weed, prune and general clean up at the entrance and back garden area of the Vet's Hall located at the pier in Cayucos.
Our monthly raffle monies go toward the purchase of food items and gifts, given as charitable holiday baskets to families in need through our local Cayucos Elementary School.
Scholarships are presented to Coast Union High School and/or Morro Bay High School graduating seniors, residing in Cayucos, to assist with college costs.
FALL PLANT SALE
To fund scholarships - Plants and other garden items are sold at the club's plant sale held on Saturday of Labor Day Weekend every other year. Club members grow plants and make garden items - and donate time to sell during the sale. Additional plant donations are received from community members.
TABLE SETTING LUNCHEON
The Table Setting Luncheon is a social, and money making event. Garden Club members and other individuals are invited to set a table and decorate it in the manner they choose. Proceeds benefit community beautification. This event is held every other year. October 2017
